Biography
Dr. Sung-Hwan Choi is an expert in the field of astronomical imaging instruments and is a principal investigator at the Korea Astronomical Science Institute (KASI). He has been involved in various astronomical space observatory projects, researching adaptive optics, polarized imaging cameras, and artificial intelligence technologies. He has led the development of the Solar Coronagraph(CODEX), a joint project with NASA, and the Korean Next Generation Intermediate Satellite 3Science Payload(ROKITS ), and has been involved in various Korean space programs, including the Lunar Exploration(K-CLPS ) program. Recently, he is planning a deep space optical communication architecture for space exploration and is working to localize related element technologies.
