Dr. Khalid Al Naqbi Vice President, Product and Engineering, Space42
Dr. Khalid Al Naqbi is a senior technology leader specializing in satellite communications and space systems engineering. As Vice President of Product and Engineering at Space42, he directs advanced satellite technology programs that enhance secure communications and national space infrastructure.
He oversees the full product lifecycle from concept to deployment, leading cross-functional engineering teams and ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and cybersecurity. His leadership spans multibillion-dollar initiatives for defense and commercial sectors, driving innovation and operational excellence across Space42’s satellite network.
Before joining Space42, Dr. Al Naqbi held senior roles at Yahsat, where he managed national satellite communication systems across land, maritime, and airborne platforms. He also serves as a strategic adviser to the UAE Ministry of Defence and sits on the Advisory Board for Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at RIT Dubai.
Dr. Al Naqbi is pursuing a PhD in Engineering Management at the University of Sharjah. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
